2017-2019:

Arranging: a 100-page book of 34 miniatures for piano duo. In the final editing stage, and soon to be published.

Award: Special Judges Citation: "Music for Use: Accessible, Well-crafted, and Always Attractive" in The American Prize 2017-2018 in Composition — instrumental chamber music (professional division), for five of the songs from my Whereas solo piano CD: The Whisper of the Meaning; My Blue Ocean, Your Eyes; The Gentle Rain of Your Pure Love; To Solace My Heart; and A Complete Life in Our Hands.

Performance: My choral setting of the poem Pied Beauty was performed at a gala Carnegie Hall concert in January 2019.

Performance: pianist Marvin Rosen performed my solo piano piece To Solace My Heart in two concerts in Elizabethtown, NY.

2015-2016:

Composed and orchestrated Vía Láctea, a 2+ hour opera with libretto by Ellen Waterston. Three premiere performances in June 2016 in Bend, Oregon. Presented by OperaBend. Michael Gesme, conductor. Talent: soloists Emily Pulley, Hannah Penn, Jocelyn Claire Thomas, Zach Lenox, Jason Stein, Jeanne Wentworth, Chad Johnson; plus 12-member chorus and 28-piece orchestra.

Honorable Mention in The American Prize 2015 in Composition — chamber music (professional division) for Theseus and the Minotaur.

Finalist in The American Prize 2015 in Composition — choral music (professional division) for Journeys to Freedom: Rännakud Vabadusse and Three Songs of the Soul (comprised of I. The Soul's Devotion at the Rebirth of Life, II. The Soul Considers Its Nearness to God, and III. The Soul Contemplates the Creator In the Creation).

Performed piano music at the Whisperings All Star Concert and Awards Show, in Costa Mesa, California.

Performed piano music at the UAI conference in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada.

Received a 2015 Individual Artist Fellowship award from the Oregon Arts Commission for my work on Vía Láctea.

2013-2014:

Finalist in The American Prize 2014 in Composition — choral music (professional division) for Reciprocity; Pied Beauty; Wise Words of Love; and chamber music (professional division) for Aesop's Fables and Field Report: News from Rural Oregon.

Premiere: Die Alster (SATB/piano, text by Friedrich von Hagedorn, 1708-1754), by the Deutsch-Texanischer Sängerbunden mass choirs in Texas at the 2013 Texas State Saengerfest concert, conducted by John Scarcella.

Performance: Aesop's Fables (woodwind quintet with narration) by the Mill Ave. Chamber Players in Phoenix, Arizona.

Release: Aesop's Fables (woodwind quintet with narration), recorded by the Arrieu Wind Quintet with JoJo Jensen, narrator.

Release: Fiabe di Esopo (my chamber work Aesop's Fables with Italian narration), the title work on a CD of that same name, recorded by Quintetto Andersen with Claudio Moneta, narrator, released on the label La Bottega Discantica. CDs and MP3s available in Italy.

Whisperings concert with Neil Patton and Michael Logozar.

Composed the music for the 19-minute pitch reel for RUNESTONE - EDGE OF THE WORLD, an epic fictional miniseries-to-be, produced by Road's End Films.

Performed at the IC'14 conference in Amherst, Massachusetts, as part of the Light 'n' Life House Band.

2011-2012:

Premiere: the art song Double Beauty featuring Gretchen Farrar (soprano) with LeAnn Overton (piano), as part of the New York Foundation for the Arts / Bootstrap Festival in NYC. Commissioned by Gretchen Farrar.

Premiere: Unlock the Treasure in Your Heart (SATB a cappella), in honor of Dr. James Reddan. Commissioned by Linn-Benton Community College.

NY premiere: Sonata no. 1 performed by concert pianist Mary Au in "Faces of Eve", a Women's Work Concert Series presentation in NYC.

Pacific Northwest premiere: Finding the Murray River (full orchestra) by the Willamette Valley Symphony, conducted by Maestro Sean Paul Mills.

Release: Whereas, a CD concept album of thirteen original songs for solo piano. Also, publication of the Whereas songbook.

Release: Finding the Murray River and Sleep, Child, performed by the Moravian Philharmonic in Olomouc, Czech Republic, conducted by Maestro Vit Micka.

Release: a new recording of my song October Wind as part of the Whisperings Solo Piano Volume 1 - Music to Quiet Your World compilation CD produced by David Nevue and Joe Bongiorno. The CD features songs by 16 artists from the Whisperings Solo Piano Radio broadcasts.

2009-2010:

I was one of the featured performers at the First International Gathering of Solo Pianists (El Primer Encuentro Internacional de Pianistas Solo) in Mallorca, Spain, along with fellow composer/pianists Julio Mazziotti (Argentina), Mario Lopez-Santos (Spain), Lisa Downing (U.S.), and Grammy nominee Suzanne Ciani (U.S.).

Nomination: Just Plain Folks Song Award for Regatta, from the October Wind CD, in the Solo Piano category.

Award: Reviews New Age named the October Wind CD "Best Album of the Month of July" and nominated it for "Best Album RNA of the Year 2010".

Premiere: the alma mater All Hail to You, Linn-Benton, commissioned by and for Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon.

Premiere: my SATB arrangement of In the Gloaming, performed by the Linn-Benton Community College Choir, conducted by Dr. James Reddan.

Premiere: The Dimming of the Day for solo Eb natural horn, at the 11th London New Winds Festival in London, England.

Premiere: Sleep, Child (string orchestra) by the Octava Chamber Orchestra of Seattle, conducted by Matthew Weiss.

Release: Claro de Luna (the "Moonlight Sonata" Tango), a digital single for solo piano. Also, publication of its sheet music.

I wrote and produced a new opening music theme for the weekly half-hour television interview program UO Today.

2007-2008:

Premiere: Walk With Me (SSA/piano) in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, performed by the She Sings! women's chorus, conducted by Martha Hill Duncan.

Premiere: Journeys to Freedom: Rännakud Vabadusse (two SATB choirs plus treble choir, four winds, and percussion), in Maryland. The McDaniel College Choir, Carroll County Mastersingers, and the the Children's Chorus of Carroll County were conducted by Dr. Margaret Boudreaux.

Premiere: Bowerman, Man of Oregon (chamber orchestra) in Bend, Oregon, performed by the Central Oregon Symphony, conducted by Michael Gesme.

Premiere: Barbara (flute quartet) in Redmond, Oregon, performed by flutists from the Central Oregon Symphony.

Premiere: Man of Oregon (full orchestra) in Eugene, Oregon, performed by the Oregon Bach Festival orchestra, conducted by Philip Brunelle.

2005-2006:

Release: October Wind, a CD album of thirteen original songs for piano solo, plus one art song for tenor voice and piano. Also, publication of the October Wind songbook.

Award: Indie Acoustic names Periwinkle Blue, from the October Wind CD, as one of their "Songs of Note 2005".

Premiere: Let Him Return (SSA/piano), in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, performed by the Aurora women's chorus, conducted by Martha Hill Duncan.

Premiere: Reciprocity (SATB with divisi and soloists) by Sangita (chorus), conducted by Susanne Peck, at the Society for Ethical Culture in NYC. The concert was part of the First Festival of Universal Sacred Music.

2002-2004:

Academia: On faculty at the University of Oregon School of Music. Classes taught: Composition I class, undergraduate and graduate Advanced Aural Skills, and an undergraduate and graduate Seminar in Orchestration.

1998-2001:

Academia: Master's program in music composition at the University of Oregon School of Music. Graduate teaching fellowship.

Award: Outstanding Graduate Student Composer of 2001.

Award: 2001 Master’s Fellowship for Excellence in Music Research and Scholarly Activity, University of Oregon School of Music.

Award: Women's Philharmonic Reading Session (2001).

1995-1998:

Academia: Bachelor's program in music theory and composition at Westminster Choir College of Rider University.

Award: Women's Philharmonic Reading Session (1998).
